Whether you planned for your baby or not, the welcoming of a new life into your world can bring about a wave of emotions and transitions. So much time has been spent on preparing for your baby’s arrival but how much time have you actually spent on preparing a mental health plan for yourself after baby arrives? In your life there are seasons of giving and seasons of receiving. The Perinatal time period is your season of receiving. The journey to motherhood is not an easy one. Maybe you’re a new mom and feel like the baby blues just wont go away and you just want to feel like yourself again. Maybe you’re pregnant and feel overwhelmed with taking on your new role as a mom. Maybe at one point you felt so excited about the arrival of your new baby and enjoyed the nesting stage, but now your baby is here and you feel so touched out by every aspect of parenting or don’t feel surrounded by the village everyone promised you. You may feel so isolated but I want you to know that you are not alone.
You may be feeling anxious in your pregnancy, trying to find yourself again, or struggling to connect with your baby. Whether you’re going through yet another two week wait or knee deep in the fourth trimester I’m here to support you at every stage of this planned or unplanned life event.
