About Me

BLACK AFRICAN-AMERICAN THERAPIST IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SAN DIEGO MISSION VALLEY

Peace of You Therapy Services was birthed during my own postpartum experience. I took every class imaginable and I felt prepared to birth my baby but wasn’t prepared for the challenges I would face in close relationships or the losses I would experience during a time where I was being blessed with the greatest gift in the world. Grieving losses in many areas of my life, and doing my own healing work, I made a decision to start my practice in order to support women adjusting to unexpected changes in the perinatal period as well as all women adjusting to unexpected changes in their lives.

I am Nigerian born and live in San Diego, CA with my husband and my son. When I’m not in therapy sessions, I’m probably ordering unnecessary things from Amazon. I laugh a little too loud for a little too long.

I have received training in various clinical approaches to therapy and have worked in various settings including: foster family agencies, government child welfare agencies, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and outpatient mental health clinics. I don’t believe in squeezing people into a particular therapeutic style but instead, flexing the therapeutic style to meet the individual needs of my clients.
