Insurance
I do not accept insurance for therapy services. I do however, accept Lyra. If you have PPO Insurance, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I may be considered an out-of-network provider, however, I do not bill insurance companies directly. Full payment for sessions is due at the time of service and I am able to provide you with a detailed record of payment (“super bill”) at your request, outlining services rendered, which can be submitted to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement of session payments.
When using your out-of-network insurance coverage, Peace of You Therapy Services may communicate with your insurance carrier for more information regarding your services. Please keep in mind that when utilizing your insurance company for reimbursement through the use of a super bill, they can gain access to review all of your clinical records to determine if services are medically necessary, in which I will need to include a diagnosis on that paperwork.
Prior to scheduling your session, I recommend calling your insurance carrier to determine if your coverage policy accepts out-of-network psychotherapy with a LCSW, as well as asking for additional information regarding the amount they will reimburse for an out-of-network provider. If you are looking for an in-network provider for your HMO or PPO insurance, PsychologyToday.com is a great resource to explore.
Payment Options
I accept Lyra, most major credit cards and debit cards, cash, Health Savings Accounts cards (HSA), and Flex Savings Account cards (FSA). Your card will be saved securely using a HIPAA-compliant service.
* All payments are due at the time of service.
Cancellation Policy
No Shows and Cancellations
Because both your time and treatment is important, your appointment time is reserved just for you. I understand that unanticipated events happen. With this in mind, if you are unable to keep your appointment, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required. The full session fee will be charged for every missed or canceled appointment that occurs with less than 24-hour notice.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled and the full session fee will be charged.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Beginning January 1st, 2022, under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
Health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges
● You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
● Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
● If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
● Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
